Biography
Elena Salvaterra is a bioethicist with a deep experience in human and non human biobanking. She earned a PhD in Bioethics in 2004 (University of Milano, Italy) and a MA in Clinical Psychology (2020). She worked many years in the research field as bioethicist by serving academic and health care organizations. Since 2014 she works as teacher at a private academic organization (Kern Global School) and as scientific advisor at Sintesy Education (Sintesy). Author of several publications in the bioethical field and invited speaker at several international conferences, she published two books dedicated to ethical and policy issues related to human biobanking. Founder member of the European Society for Biopreservation and Biobanking, she is an active member of Isber and other scientific organizations focused on tissue banking.
